ADELINE CHIC Peacefully on April 2, 2013, Adeline passed away surrounded by her family. Adeline was predeceased by her beloved partner Moe in 2011, as well as her parents, several uncles and aunts, and her brother-in-law. She is survived by her sister, two brothers, one aunt, one uncle and numerous nieces and nephews. Also mourning her loss are Moe's two sons and their families, whom she loved dearly. Adeline was born on November 27, 1937, in Meleb, MB. She worked for many years in the Radiology department at the Health Sciences Centre where she met and made many friends. Adeline had her favourite fishing spot at the pier in Winnipeg Beach and spent many happy hours there in the summer. She loved spending time with her nieces and nephews, as well as her two step-grandsons, always interested in their activities and endeavours. In her later years she loved to visit the McPhillips Street Casino with Moe and spend time with family. She loved Barbados, and kept memories of her visit there in a special place in her heart. Adeline was kind and gracious. She maintained her dignity and bearing even when faced with the many challenges brought on by her illness in the last few years of her life. She will be sorely missed by all. We wish to thank the staff of 5U1 at Seven Oaks Hospital, especially Victoria and Kim, for the kindness and compassion at this most difficult time, as well as the staff at Donwood Manor EPH, and the ARE Home Care staff for their support. At her request, cremation has taken place and there will be no formal service. A private family interment will be held at a later date.
